 10/6/07 So this weekend there was a Renaissance Fair in Alcala. It was really cool to see all of the vendors and their booths. Everyone was in costume. The smells were amazing, especially at the booths with spices and food. The food was delicious. One of my favorite stands was the falconer. He had falcons, hawks, and owls which he released around the plaza and then would call back over the crowd. It was just a lot of fun.

10/12/07 So today a group of us went hiking at Pedriza north of here. The weather was beautiful, perfect for a hike in the mountains. We took a picnic lunch up to the summit and spent the day. When we got to the top, there was a herd of mountain goats on the rocks above us. It was really neat and the view was amazing. We had a lot of fun hiking the mountain and rock climbing.
